Eco-Corr®
Description:
Eco-Corr® is the first and only certified biodegradable corrosion inhibiting film. Eco-Corr® contains Cortec’s proprietary VpCI technology and provides excellent contact, barrier and vapor-phase corrosion protection for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Various formulations containing up to 40% biobased content are available and can be designed to fit required properties ranging from highly elastic to semi-rigid structures.

Eco-Corr® is certified 100% biodegradable and compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute/ United States Composting Council (BPI/USCC) according to ASTM D6400. When placed in a typical commercial composting environment, Eco-Corr® films will fully biodegrade into carbon dioxide and water within a matter of weeks. There is no ecotoxicity to the soil, plants or microorganisms involved in this process. The exact time for films to biodegrade is dependent upon the conditions and activity of the disposal environment (temperature, soil quality, activity of microorganisms). Eco-Corr® films are shelf stable and will not break down prematurely until disposed of in a proper composting environment.

Package:
Eco-Corr® is available in standard length 36" (91.4cm) and 48" (122 cm) rolls as well as a wide variety of custom sizes and forms. Custom products include single wound sheeting, double wound sheeting, U-sheets, Msheets, center folds, gusset tubes, converted bags made from these types of film and perforated or bag-on-a-roll products.

Eco-Corr® ESD
Description:
Eco Corr® ESD is 100% biodegradable and compostable film utilizing Cortec's patented VpCI® technology along with eliminating static electricity. In addition to offering 100% biodegradability, 100% compostability and VpCI® technology, EcoCorr® ESD provides better tensile strength, tear strength and ultimate elongation than low density polyethylene films. EcoCorr® ESD is also heat and water stable and does not disintegrate or break apart while in use.

Package:
Eco-Corr® ESD is available in standard sizes 36" (91.4cm) width x 500' (152,4 meters) length and 48" (122 cm) width x 500' (152,4 meters) length rolls, as well as a wide variety of custom sizes and forms. Custom products include single wound sheeting, double wound sheeting, U-sheets, M-sheets, center folds, gusset tubes, converted bags made from these types of film and perforated or bag-on-a-roll products.

Eco Film
Description:
Eco Film™ is most similar to low density polyethylene, but is up to 300% stronger than LDPE.  It is the softest in appearance and the most elastic formulation we offer.  Eco Film™ is certified compostable per ASTM D 6400, and is listed on both BPI and Din Certco’s list of approved products.

Package:
Eco Film is available in 3 stock sizes, based on the most common container/bin sizes used in organics diversion programs.  Eco Film is also available in custom sizes, thicknesses and forms—essentially any form available in polyethylene is likely available in Eco Film.  Eco Film can be custom printed and can be produced as standard translucent, white opaque and black opaque.  In some markets, retail packages of Eco Film are available.

Eco Works
Description:
Eco Works® is a family of formulations that are designed to combine certified compostability per ASTM D 6400, with a high biobased content.  Biobased content currently ranges from 5% to 70% of the total formulation.  As biobased content increases, so does the rigidity of the film.  Eco Works® ranges from elastic to highly rigid and is ideally suited to replace non-degradable films such as LDPE, HDPE and BOPP.  All Eco Works® formulations are certified compostable and are listed on both BPI and Din Certco’s approved products.

Package:

Eco Works® can be customized to your precise needs, including rigidity, thickness, form, print, tint, barrier properties and strength.

EcoWorks® Resin, Biodegradable Resin for Film
Description:
EcoWorks Resin is a proprietary blend of aliphatic and aromatic polyesters designed for biodegradable film extrusion applications. In addition to the biodegradability, EcoWorks also contains Ingeo™ Biopolymer, an annually renewable resource derived from plant sugars. EcoWorks Resin provides an environmentally conscience alternative to polyethylene and polypropylene sheet materials. Formulating with EcoWorks Resin is customizable; it can be used as is or blended with other biodegradable materials and process additives to obtain desired properties.

Package:

Available in 454 kg (1000 lb) gaylords packaged in a barrier bag.

Eco-Tie™
Description:
Eco-Tie™ is based entirely on certified compostable raw materials and is designed to replace twine and plastic/metallic ties frequently used in agricultural and industrial markets.  Eco-Tie™ is a very thick strand and designed specifically for vineyards and other agricultural applications where ties are used during growing seasons and are difficult or impossible to collect after use.

Package:

Eco-Tie™ is offered as spools in a variety of lengths.

Eco Wrap
Description:
Eco Wrap™ is designed to replace non-degradable or oxodegradable stretch film and is ideally suited for agricultural shipments.  Eco Wrap™ is a blend of certified compostable, highly elastic film and a proprietary cling coating.  The unique combination allows Eco Wrap™ to have improved strength at a reduced thickness and fewer total wraps, when compared to non-degradable stretch film.  Eco Wrap™ is currently awaiting listing on Din Certco and BPI, but the base film is already certified compostable per ASTM D 6400 and listed on both Din Certco and BPI’s approved products lists.

Package:

Eco Wrap is available as standard 30" (76.2 cm) and 20” (50.8 cm) wide film in 100 gauge (25 micron) thickness. Eco Wrap is also available in custom width, length and core size.
